Greenhithe, Kent
Honest cleaning for Greenhithe and North Kent.
Regular home cleaning is £19 an hour, offices start at £18, and every price is published here before you ask us for anything. Products and equipment come with us. If we miss something on the checklist we agreed, tell us within 48 hours and we'll come back and put it right free.
What do you get with every Chalkdown clean?
You get five things on every job, whatever you're paying. A guarantee with a clock on it, payment only after we've been, a price you can read before you contact us, products and equipment inside that price, and a plain statement that we're new. Have a look at any of it before you book.
48-hour re-clean guarantee
If we've missed anything on the checklist we agreed, tell us within 48 hours and we'll come back and re-clean it free.
You pay after the visit
Nothing up front, nothing to sign, and no minimum term if you'd like us regularly.
Prices published, nothing hidden
Every rate we charge is on the pricing page. Two things aren't on a ladder there, regular office contracts and anything unusual, and both are quoted from the form.
Products and equipment included
We bring the lot with us. There's no call-out fee, and the price is the same in every town we cover.
New business, stated plainly
We're new, so there are no reviews here and no badges. What we can give you is a set of promises, and you're welcome to hold us to every one.
How does booking a clean work?
Booking starts with one short form, and it takes about a minute. You tell us the job, we send back a price you can check against the ladders on this site, and then we come and clean it. Afterwards you look at the work against the checklist we agreed, and if something's been missed, tell us inside 48 hours and we'll come back and put it right free.
- You tell us where you are and what needs doing, on one short form that takes about a minute.
- We come back with a price you can check against this page. Most jobs don't need a visit first, and nobody rings you unless you ask us to.
- We clean, you have a look, and anything missed off the agreed checklist gets re-cleaned free if you tell us within 48 hours.
Which cleaning service do you need?
There are eight to choose from, and each one carries its price right here on the page, so you never have to send an enquiry to find it. Regular visits are charged by the hour. One off jobs like a deep clean or an end of tenancy clean are priced by the size of the property, so the figure doesn't move because the job ran long. Pick whichever is closest and the page will tell you the rest.

What is actually included in a clean?
A written list of rooms and tasks, agreed with you before we start. That list is the contract, and it's what the 48-hour guarantee gets measured against. Below is the shape of it for a standard home clean. Each service page carries the full version, because an oven clean and a move out clean aren't the same job at all.
There's a moment when a kitchen is properly finished, the draining board dry, the glass clear, the whole room breathing again. That's the bit we do this for, and a written checklist is how we get there on a rushed Friday as reliably as on a quiet Tuesday.

Kitchen
- Worktops, sink and taps
- Hob and outside of the oven
- Fronts of units and appliances
- Floor washed
Bathroom
- Bath, shower screen and tiles
- Basin, taps and mirror
- Toilet inside and out
- Floor washed
Bedrooms
- Surfaces dusted
- Mirrors and glass
- Skirting boards
- Vacuumed throughout
Living areas
- Surfaces and shelves dusted
- Doors, handles and switches
- Skirting boards
- Vacuumed or washed floors
Why are there no reviews on this site?
There are no reviews here yet. We're new, and the first ones will be earned rather than written by us. Until then you have four things you can check before you book: a published price for every service, a published room-by-room checklist, a guarantee with a deadline on it, and the exclusions printed right next to that guarantee.
A price before a conversation
Every rate is on the pricing page, with two exceptions named there: regular office contracts, and anything unusual, both quoted from the form. You can work out your likely bill without giving anyone your phone number.
A checklist that is the contract
Room by room, agreed before we start, and published on the service page so you can read it first.
A guarantee with a clock on it
If we've missed something on the agreed checklist, tell us within 48 hours and we'll re-clean that area free. That clock is about when you tell us, and we book the return visit as soon as you can give us access.
The exclusions, printed
The guarantee doesn't cover pre-existing damage, permanent staining, mould, or areas we couldn't get access to.
When there are real reviews, they'll appear here with dates on them so you can see how recent they are. This space is theirs, and it stays empty until then.
Which areas do you cover?
Seven towns: Greenhithe, Stone, Swanscombe, Ebbsfleet, Dartford, Northfleet and Gravesend. The prices are identical in all of them and there's no call-out fee, so where you are inside that list never changes the number. If you're just outside it, ask anyway on the form and you'll get a straight yes or no.

Area pages, town by town
Where that actually reaches
The DA9 postcode district covers Greenhithe and Stone and takes in Bluewater, which sits in Stone parish. We work the riverside streets at Ingress Park, the Ebbsfleet Garden City estates, and the corridor around Ebbsfleet International and Greenhithe for Bluewater station.
There's no shop and no walk-in office. We come to you, and the travel is already inside the price.
What else do people ask before booking?
Mostly the same eight: what it costs, whether products are included, whether you need to be in, whether travel is charged, what a landlord can and can't demand, what the guarantee leaves out, whether we're insured yet, and how to get a figure. Short answers below, and the FAQ page takes them further.
How much does a cleaner cost in Greenhithe?
Our regular domestic rate is £19 an hour with a two hour minimum visit, so a short visit is £38 and a typical three hour clean of a three bedroom house is £57. Bigger one off jobs are priced by property size instead of by the hour, and every figure is on the pricing page.
Do I need to provide cleaning products?
No, we bring everything. Products and equipment are included in every price on this site, for every service, and there is no separate charge for either. If you'd rather we used something of your own, leave it out for us and say so on the quote form. If you'd prefer eco products, tell us there and we'll use them.
Do I need to be home when the cleaner comes?
No, and it makes no difference to the price. What matters is that we can get in, and that you've told us anything we need to know first, like an alarm code or a nervous pet. If you're out, have a look when you get back and tell us within 48 hours if anything was missed.
Is there a call-out fee or a travel charge?
No to both. There's no call-out fee anywhere we cover, travel is in the price, and the prices are the same in Greenhithe, Stone, Swanscombe, Ebbsfleet, Dartford, Northfleet and Gravesend. Being at the far end of the area we work in doesn't change your quote.
Can my landlord charge me for cleaning when I move out?
Under the Tenant Fees Act 2019 a landlord or agent can't require you to pay for professional end of tenancy cleaning, or to use a particular cleaner. They can still charge for cleaning out of your deposit if the property is left worse than it started, and over half of deposit disputes involve cleaning.
What is not covered by the 48-hour guarantee?
Four things, and here they are: pre-existing damage, permanent staining, mould, and areas we couldn't get access to. Everything else on the checklist we agreed is covered. Tell us within 48 hours and we'll come back and re-clean the affected areas free. You have 48 hours to raise it, and no clock runs on the clean itself. We book the return visit at the earliest time you can give us access.
Are you insured and DBS checked?
Not yet, because we haven't started trading. Before our first clean there will be public liability insurance in place and a DBS check for every cleaner. As soon as those certificates exist they'll be published right here, and every written quote will include the insurance certificate and DBS details before you pay anything.
How do I get a price?
Send the quote form with your postcode, the property and what needs doing. We answer every single enquiry, so you won't be left wondering. Most jobs can be priced from the form alone because the ladders here are published, which means you can work out the likely figure yourself before you send anything.
Ready to get a price?
Send the form with your postcode and what needs doing, and we'll come back with a proper price. We answer every single enquiry. Nothing on the form commits you to anything and there's no charge for the quote. If you'd rather read the numbers first, the pricing page has all of them.
Most people who write to us are staring at a week with no free Saturday in it, or at a check-out date with a deposit riding on it. Tell us which one it is and we'll work round you.
